In this video I use soda cans, tin cans, an old bread pan, stained candles, an old salad bowl, an extra metal shelf from a garage shelving unit, a metal tray, ugly faux flowers, leftover fabric trim, house blocks/frames, and a piece of scrap wood to to create fall decor that looks like it came from the store!

If you need the wicker looking balls for project one, the dollar tree has them in the pet dep. They are cat toys and have bells inside but are easy to remove. I have used them for projects in the past.
Fantastic projects, Sherry! And as a former teacher myself I have lots of “items” I hoarded….er… I mean, saved. Although my family considers me a junk collector, I like to think of myself as a “conservationist “ 😂. In any event, I can use just about every single one of these wonderfully creative ideas. I think I need to see more so I can dazzle my family. 👏🏼🇨🇦

Hi Sherry! I watched in interested how you were making the metal shelf sign. I really like how it turned out, but then you put the black paint on it; I thought “oh dear, now she’s ruined it!” How wrong I was…when it was all complete and hanging on the wall, I loved it! Great job!!

Sherry, I just loved the metal sign you did, and I don’t think you made a mistake, at all, painting the background black. It looked perfect and made the sign pop. I’m a decorative artist, and black, to me, always helps to make you work and colors stand out. You did good, keep up the good work.

Great projects!! I can see the wicker balls in a wreath, also. The metal sign looks good in both colors, but I prefer the black. Love the pumpkin patch sign in the rusty pan, the candle in salad bowl, the rusty cans, the soda can leaves, the fall pillow, the block houses turned into vases—-well, I guess you see I loved all of them and I am really inspired to get busy!
Hi Sherry – my favorite was the Pumpkin Patch board and rusted bread pan full of pumpkins! I think the black background on the metal sign was a good choice too. I have one of those cheap garage shelving units – hmmmm… – Thanks as always for your inspiration for using things you might already have on hand. – Oh I also really loved the metal leaves. You could keep them every year – cutting down on clutter, but can repaint them to match new fall decor! They would also make a beautiful outdoor wreath!
