DIY!!
Inspired by the trending fall and winter decor, I completed several DIY projects to update my existing decor. I created textural picture frames (and a pumpkin) using a thrifted vest and a velvet fabric remnant, created aged terra cotta candlesticks and a bird using paint, added gold paint and wax to update home accessories, updated an old wood salad bowl and plastic fruit, made a dried floral wreath from an existing wreath and plants from my yard, created black and gold metallic wall art, made transparent leaf art, and created a botanical picture frame and vintage looking wall art.

Do you like the new decor trends? Which one is your favorite? I think I am most excited about all the black decor and accents. I am tired of painting everything white—guess, I’ll start painting everything black or gold now! 😀
Talk about “frost on the pumpkin”! Loved the furry pumpkin (obviously!), and the picture frame. The Christmas picture inside the furry frame made me smile.
Great ideas, Sherry! You’ve given me a whole new way to look at my old decor items. Thrift store items are looking interesting to me, too. So many ideas. Thanks and happy Fall!
Absolutely wonderful ideas. I especially love it when you show us how to recreate beautiful items that we see at the store that are seriously overpriced and yet how we can make a very similar look in our own homes. Thanks for keeping us inspired
Great ideas! I love the wooden bowl makeover. I will need to go thrifting for an old wooden salad bowl!
I love the picture that was layered with a background behind the leaf. The furry pumpkin was so clever! I also really liked the owl when he was done. He looks so majestic in his golden feathers. The copper handles on the bowl were the exact ones we had in a kitchen when I was growing up. I guess it just goes to prove that what’s old is new again! Nice job, Sherry.
Thank you Sherry. Everything is beautiful!! Love that furry pumpkin! 🧡🤎🍂🍁
These were all fantastic Sheri! I’m definitely going to make the gold floral pictures for my girls. The fuzzy pumpkin and picture frame have my creative mind pumping. Thanks again for another great video. I love your creativity!
I think you have your finger on the pulse of not only the current decor trends but the economic realities we are also currently experiencing. Thank you for making high end looking decor accessible.
I loved the leaf in the window and the light shining through; so awesome! You continue to amaze me with what you do with a salad bowl. The owl was my other favorite. I was worried when I saw the inspiration because gold can sometimes come off as gaudy, but you nailed it! ❤ I’m a traditional girl and love my florals for all seasons.
Our Dear Ms. Sherry:
You work so incredibly hard for us all! Thanks for everything you do! My favorite was the wooden bowl with handles: when you were done, you could clearly see how it was pieced together, and it looked awesome!🥰
These projects are really new and fun! I loved the textured picture frames and I agree that the black is different and a good change. I may paint something gold just as a surprise but I’ll have to get that wax effect too, it made all the difference on the owl. Your clever mind is always cranking Sherri! 😊
Loved all the projects Sherry, really great ideas, my favourite was the bowl of pumpkins!
I have always loved the look of pressed fall leaves and botanicals, ever since my first “waxed paper” art project in grade school way back when 🧡❤️💛
