I was watching your channel one day last fall and you mentioned the craft you were doing would be great for junk journaling, I had never heard of it so I googled and you now have created a monster. I am so obsessed with it and absolutely love it so I want to say ThankYou for introducing me to it. Great tips Deidre. I bake all my empty eggshells in the oven to kill any harmful bacteria before putting them in my blender . Grinding my eggshells keep the blender blades sharp and then the finely crushed eggshells go back to my chicken in their feed as a calcium supplement .
Love how you used the wooden cutouts for the candle! There are so many cute ones at the store, but I never know what to use them for. Other ideas? 👍😁

My dad always put old egg shells in his potting soil and around his rose bushes and I the garden and he always had the prettiest flowers and the best community garden everyone loved it he was very good at growing things he had a green thumb for sure. I really like these ideas because I’m into recycling too and anything that we can do to better the environment and leave a better world for our grandchildren is amazing ! IF you plant the eggshell, you will need to crack the bottom open. It takes egg shells a Long time to decompose so the roots of your plant will need help reaching the soil. Cute ideas!
