Camera Stabilizer DIY Steadicam

DIY!!

I have built the Camera Stabilizer, which can be used for video shoot with DSLRs to iPhone.
It is also designed for maximizing portability by building with separating parts.
I referenced a lot of articles from the pioneers and “Mini Motion-Cam” by Hague.
Finally, I could finish my first model because of many supports.
Current version is 5, I will continue to develop these lot farther.
Details and Processes are on my website.

Thx for the instructions. I made myself one using the same THK BL6D, however, I find the link ball could only tilt till 20 degree both sides along Y-axis unlike yours which seems to tilt close to 90 degree (@ 3.53). Checked the specs for BL6D and the “permissible tilt angles” is 40 degree. Any steps i missed to make it tilt more? Thanks.

Great post, very nice to have dimensions too. I bought a similar ball joint meant for an automotive throttle connection for about $4.00 from a NAPA auto parts store. It has 1/4″-28 (NF) male and female connections. Thanks.
