These tips help pull everything together – creating a finished, relaxed atmosphere – It’s not an expensive look I want, but these ideas help create the calm, comfortable home I like💕
It takes talent to do what you do! I’ve been binging your videos for some inspiration (you have wonderful ideas!). My husband and I just bought a new home and I’m so overwhelmed with where to even start! So far, painting is completed, wish me luck with the rest!
My favorite tip was using runners in the kitchen. It really expands my area rug options. Yay!
I’m a landscape artist. Putting a mat around art is like adding lipstick after you finish your makeup. It pulls everything together.
Fantastic tips, Kristen! Used so many of them in my home. Thank you! xo
Thank you Kristen, I learned a lot today, I do use flowers in every room not plants because I forget to water them. I never thought about buying a runner from Walmart, thanks for the tip. I love the idea of putting two pieces of furniture together to make the space look grand, and also the tip for the ceiling lamps , re the size and shape of the dining table. Round table round ceiling lamp, rectangular table , rectangular ceiling lamp or two ceiling lamps to even out the space.
Thank you, Kristen.
I will be using your floor runner tip for sure.😀
I, too, love mat frames, around artwork or photos. 😀
Thanks, Kristen! I always enjoy your videos! Quick question: Is there an online store you like to use to buy picture matting? I’ve been searching on Amazon and find the cost more than what I want to pay and the selection uninspiring! Any suggestions?
Your interior design skills are seriously impressive! You have a great eye for complementing different colors and patterns. I especially love the way you styled this bookshelf – it’s both functional and visually appealing.
Hey Kristen! Love the tips especially the one on having two window treatments together. I have curtains in the living room but most of the time my husband likes to keep them shut because of privacy reason lol. Where as I loved to keep them open so I need either shutter blinds or Roman shades. My heart keeps going back to the plantation shutter blinds and was wondering what’s your take on them with curtains? Should I get Roman shades instead? Do shutter blinds look dated? Would love to hear your feedback 🫶🏼
Whoever came up with this idea, what a genius. Love it! You can have your mother in law or your adult kids living close to you under one roof but they are just next door. So awesome 😊
