I love using inexpensive thrift store finds, garage sale finds, and small items from Dollar Tree to create cozy home decor! In this video, I have DIY projects. I will be upcycling and repurposing an old broom, a flannel shirt, a canvas tote bag, a broken wall clock, a wood plate, a picture frame, a lantern, a Dollar Tree ceramic mushroom, and a glass vase.

The vase… Paint a white coat of paint to the outside, let it dry, THEN, paint the black coat. I think you will achieve the inside effect you desire.
I thought all of the makeovers were great, but my favorite was the decoupaged wood plate. For the decoupage vase (last project), next time put the paper on the inside of the vase, so the pattern can be seen from the outside of the vase through the glass. Then paint the inside of the vase.

Loved the wooden plate with the decoupaged napkin. That idea is endless and could be made into sets and given as gifts for any number of occasions. I think your might paint the vase a lighter color and that would make the floral stand out. I also liked the door decoration with the cat and pumpkin even though am not a fan of Halloween. I surprised myself on that one and had a Christmas idea for the same application. Loved this video as usual. Bless you sherry
Sherry your talent is unmatched, I was feeling so nostalgic after some DIY’s I’m from the 70’s I remember my mother decor back on the days that moss lantern and poem transported me to my childhood!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤

I only discovered your channel and couple of days ago and now I’ve been binge watching. For one of the videos I saw yesterday, I said, “You must be the most creative person on YouTube.” I continue to be blown away by your ideas, that never turn out to be tacky. You have what is called “an eye.” You vision how to pair colours and styles and also how to create a balanced composition, in all that you do. At one time you may have been an English teacher, but you most certainly have the heart and soul of a true artist. Not sure if you ever studied design, but I feel you are a total natural when it comes to creating beauty. I have never been a minimalist and I fully support your “more is more” concept.
