Very timely publishing, almost coincidental if I mayt say. I just disassembled a few palletes with the intention of creating some DIY christmas presents. The only thing I found lying around is a miter saw. I do have 600mm length of extrusion from another project and I got 3D printing capabilities which will enable me to create a version of this system that’ll greatly accelerate my working speed. Great work, thank you for the effort put into the project and the video explanation!

Fascinating. I’m most impressed by your ingenuity, Max. The pantograph approach, rather than just using a hinge at one end as other multi-function table designers have done must add to the accuracy.
The tool you described as an “expander” is generally known in the UK as a reamer.
