2020年の秋、移住先の香川県の田舎に築100年超えの古民家を購入。
夫婦でリノベーションをすすめつつ、初めての田舎暮らしをはじめました！
あれから半年がたち、ゴミだらけ雨漏りだらけだった古民家も少しずつ、生活空間へと変化していきました。
できるとことはDIYで、部分的にリフォーム業者さんの協力を得ながら、すすめてきたリノベーション半年間のまとめ動画。

Wonderful progress. You two are working so hard together. It must be challenging but satisfying. How many square meters is your home. It looks large. Here in Chicago we bought and renovated two adjacent buildings in 2018 and it took so long for us and we hired contractors to do the work. 18 months. Everything was gutted and then re-installed. Looking forward to seeing your project evolve.

Wow. The previous owners left all their stuff in the house and left? Reminds me to get rid of a lot of junk in my house when I get older. I live in a five bedroom house by myself these days. I have also been renovating my house DIY style.
The lamp shade that threw away is very special, it can be sold on eBay 🙂

my partner and I are a couple from eastern Canada who did the same jump around the same time! We bought a cottage that had been abandoned for years. 2 containers to empty the house, a 3rd soon, we also did the plastering and yard work. We’re 5 months in! I’m really impressed by your roofing skills! putting a new roof is not easy. I love your videos!

Just a curious question…..why didn’t you think of selling the tiles that were in good shape for the roof to people to use for classic roof tiles? Since they are of another era, it would (to me) to be a extension of history. I do like the roof you used though. Just asking. Peace 💫
I know it’s hard work I’ve been working on this house alone for 25 years. Seems like a long time but I raised a child during that time also. I’m sorry to hear that you’re getting rid of the barns I would love to have them. I’d love to have those tiles that were on the roof too. Although I never sell things online I do buy things there and I noticed that you probably threw away about $10,000 US. I understand how it is though just trying to get up the hump to where you can see the other side of what it will be.
Good luck, and take your time on redoing your old well because it’s probably very important to the property.
