Drew you have such an eye for interior design. You are naturally gifted 🤍🧡
I am older, and one thing I had to do to update my spaces was to get rid of “collections.” Replacing a collection of Hummel figurines with a large piece of pottery and a plant has made all the difference. Plus, it’s SO much easier to dust and keep the space clean. It truly makes my home look “clean” and more modern!
I went to buy a couch from joybird and the associate in store said green was neutral because it’s the color of nature. That’s how he convinced me to buy an emerald green velvet sectional 😂. Yes plants are neutral!
My zero-cost way to making my house look more luxurious is to just clean it. Because I know people who have very expensive furniture and decor and the couch is always covered in piles of laundry or the coffee table is covered in dirty dishes, so you never see or notice the nice things. Your eye just goes to the clutter. But you can have thrift store furniture and keep the house clean, and it already looks better than the expensive messy house.
Drew, you are spot on about noticing what homes smell like the moment you walk in. So important to have something pleasant, clean and not overbearing. Love your videos
1000% repaint your high-traffic zones! Doors are touched SO much, we don’t notice when they’ve gone dingy.. also chips and dings, like on door frames, baseboards, or furniture feet. Slay on, Fox!
a lil challenge idea for the diy/interior design community: an entire room makeover with ONLY diy’d items (nothing store bought) – from the furniture to decor. would love to see how that would turn out!
I would also add that hanging your wall art at the appropriate height makes a huge difference! I’ve seen so many homes with wall art way too high and it throws everything off!
Such a good video, the window treatment before and after was amazing! 🖤 Lisa
I reaaaaaally love this video. Such a fresh breath of air instead of “Things that look tacky” or “Your house looks cheap if you have x” like other videos here on YT, you focused on suggestions and ideas. Very positive and actually helpful ❤️
