DIY!!
In this video I create ten cottage style home decor items by upcycling items purchased at the thrift store and Dollar Tree. These DIY projects include turning a vintage enamel pan into a wall shelf, upcycling a thrifted fruit garland into a butterfly wreath, repurposing an old wood perpetual calendar into a message board, adding cottage appeal to a thrifted wooden sewing basket, using lampshade parts to make legs for small planters, turning a wooden basket into an adorable wagon full of lavender, making modern botanical wall art from Dollar Tree wrapping paper and vinyl, repurposing Dollar Tree glasses into shelf decor, and turning a lattice style picture frame and a lattice style mirror into one of a kind wall decor.

Hi Sherry. Offering my ordered list on what to keep: (1) Hang on to the enamel pan since it’s a one-of-a kind item. The IOD transfer was perfect for that pan! (2) The butterfly wreath since will be attractive in so many areas of your home (3) The message board since it is the perfect size for displaying the small photos with updated messages about the kids in your family. Any thoughts on creating a small matching container for the extra scrabble tiles? Even though I ranked these, my final vote is for you to keep all three. You can cart them off to your retail booth at any time but keep them for a while and enjoy them. As always, thanks for the weekly inspirations!
My favorite is the butterfly wreath – perfect summer decor!! Love the others too but if I have to pick one – that’s my pick!
Blessings!
I love the enamel pan! And everything is gorgeous as usual Sherry! You are so creative! I look forward to every Tuesday morning!
Sherry, I wish I could take a guided tour of the creative side of your brain! Your ideas and, the skill you have in bringing them to life, never fail to amaze me! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us.
Rules are meant to be broken lol. Keep the enamel shelf AND the message board! You can always make another wreath, but those two amazing finds are going to be hard to replace. Great job as always!
I love the little lavender wagon! It is so versatile, you could always decorate it to the seasons!
Yay! Tuesday morning! Let’s get started!🥰 Since we have to pick, I love the enamel pan to keep. You keep blowing me away, week after week! You are a National Treasure of Creativity! Thanks so much for all you do for us!
I loved the enamel pan with roses transfer, it’s unique & has an old world aura. Although it’s going to be hard to choose!
I would definitely keep the enamel pan and butterfly wreath. Enjoy them for a bit and if you decide to sell the pan later, it will definitely go fast. Thank you for another great video.
My favorite was the first lattice project with the transfer flowers. That’s the one I would keep. But of your three choices I like the enamel pan shelf. Practical and beautiful.
I forgot to mention that my dear friend Julie (of Julie’s Designs and Signs) is now selling Iron Orchid Design (IOD) products like the transfers I used in this video. Here is her website if you are interested in purchasing some for yourself: https://www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/iod-products
Loved the message board. Being the grandmother to three little ones, I would love to use it to highlight happenings in their lives.
Thank you so much for the idea. ❤️
