In this video I refresh the decor in my kitchen/library area and mud room. The projects include rewiring a vintage lamp, making a coffee table from vintage books, adding fringe to a chair and sofa, covering a lamp shade with fabric, wallpapering an accent wall, adding green (the color of the year) accents, hanging electrical lanterns from can/recessed lighting portals, spray painting light switch plates, aging brass knobs, creating a unique dried flower bouquet, decoupaging vintage images over framed ceramic coasters, arranging furniture to create a cozy nook within a room for reading or relaxing, and even more ideas! Great episode – I love the idea of doing a new monthly installment! I have to be honest – I think the only new trend I can embrace is the green – thankfully I’m not driven by trends but instead what speaks to me. I’ve always been a rustic bring the outdoors in kinda girl and I don’t see that changing. Love the use of gray and white wax – I painted a small decor size bird cage white recently and just found a bird that fits perfect that I will paint gray and distress with white wax. Thank you as always for the inspiration – while you’re going brass – I’m going silver! 😂 but I believe that it’s our differences that give us all character!
